Playboy Model Christina Kraft Killed In Ardmore; Conshy IKEA Fire; Campbell Employee Caught Luring

The Montgomery County District Attorney's Office is investigating after a woman was found strangled to death inside her Ardmore apartment on Wednesday night, 8/22. She has been identified as former Playboy model 36-year-old Christina Carlin-Kraft. She had a modeling career in fashion and print. Lower Merion Police were called out to the apartment on the 100 block of Sibley Avenue to perform a welfare check around 9:15 p.m. Wednesday and discovered Kraft in the bedroom. The Montgomery County Coroner's Office determined her cause of death was strangulation and the manner of death was homicide. Police have security footage from the building of a man going into the building with Kraft the night before. They believe he left by jumping off the balcony. Kraft, herself, had reported items stolen from her home a few days ago. Police executed a search warrant in South Philadelphia on the 6500 block of Theodore Street on Wednesday morning, 8/22. They recovered some jewelry and designer bags. The two incidents may be connected. Police say there shouldn't be any concern for area residents. No arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.

UPDATE:Police have identified the man wanted for the burglary and theft inside Kraft's apartment last weekend. 31-year-old Andre Melton was seen on surveillance footage entering Kraft's apartment with her last Friday and Saturday. Police executed a search warrant on Melton's home on the 6500 block of Theodore Street in Southwest Philadelphia on Wednesday morning and found items that Kraft reported stolen. She was found dead on Wednesday night. It is not known if the robbery and her death are connected.

Firefighters responded to a fire at the IKEA store in Conshohocken on Friday morning, 8/24. It happened around 10:30 a.m. on the 400 block of Alan Wood Road in Plymouth Township. The entire store was evacuated, but no one was injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation, but a solar panel on the roof of the building seems to be the focus. The building's roof is completely covered in solar panels. IKEA's North American Headquarters is located next door to this location.

A Campbell Soup Company employee has been arrested after being caught in a sting operation where he thought he was meeting a teenage girl. 30-year-old Ebert Ray Nepomuceno allegedly exchanged sexually explicit text messages and arranged to meet someone he thought was a 14-year-old girl. Nepomuceno was arrested by Camden County Police when he arrived at the supposed meeting in Pennsauken, Camden County. He had actually been communicating with an undercover detective. He is charged with second degree Luring, Attempted Criminal Sexual Contact and Attempted Sexual Assault with a minor.
