Philadelphia Police have arrested a second teenager in connection to the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Kristian Marche, a high school track star about to start college at Penn State on a partial scholarship. Police now have both 15-year-old Byron Vinson and 16-year-old Taron Small in custody on murder, conspiracy and weapons charges. It happened around 9:30 p.m. on Aug. 13. outside of Marche's home on the 1800 block of East Pastorius Street in West Oak Lane. The suspects attempted to break into Marche's home, but Kristian confronted the teens and went back inside. Marche then went back outside his home and according to Philadelphia Police Lt. Norman Davenport, "Small produces a weapon, shooting Marche in the back of the head." He says, "There was not a struggle, not a fight. This was clearly a case of murder." Marche was taken to Einstein Medical Center where he died a day later.

Philadelphia Police are searching for two suspects wanted in in the shooting deaths of two men in Kensington on Wednesday evening, 8/22. It happened around 8 p.m. on the 3300 block of H Street, near Thayer Avenue. The suspects got out of a gold Chevy minivan and began shooting. One used an assault rifle and the other used a semi-automatic hand gun. Thirty shell casings were found on the street. The victims have been identified as 23-year-old Anthony Torres of the 4000 block of North Marshall Street and 38-year-old Jose Vega of the 800 block of East Thayer Street. Torres had just walked out of the store where he worked when the shooting began. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Vega was a neighbor on the street. He died a short time later at the hospital. Police believe this was a targeted attack. Anyone with information is asked to contact Philadelphia police.

Philadelphia Police are investigating after a woman was found shot and killed inside an apartment in the Wissinoming section of Philadelphia. The woman, believed to be in her 20s, was found just before 3:30 a.m. Thursday, 8/23, in a third floor apartment on the 5900 block of Keystone Street. She was found on the kitchen floor suffering from a gun shot wound to the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman's identity is unknown at this time. Neighbors reported hearing gunshots and people running down the stairs. Officers are questioning two men who were seen climbing down from a second floor porch roof. One of those men lives in the third floor apartment. They are being treated as witnesses at the moment and are cooperating. There were no signs of forced entry and police do not believe anything was taken from the apartment.
