Arrest Warrants For 3 Camden Suspects; City Council Employee Killed in Murder-Suicide

Arrest warrants have been issued for three men in connection with the shooting of two undercover detectives in Camden earlier this month. 19-year-old Alexander DeJesus of Philadelphia, 26-year-old Ammar Hall of Camden, and 20-year-old Juan Figueroa of Camden have all been charged with first degree attempted murder, aggravated assault, and weapons offenses. Police are now searching for those suspects. It happened on August 7th. The two detectives were sitting in their unmarked car when they were ambushed. 25 rounds were fired at the two. The male detective was shot in the bicep and foreman. The female detective was shot in the hand. They have since been released from the hospital. There are rewards totaling $60,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction. A woman was shot and killed by her husband who in turn shot himself in a murder-suicide on Friday morning, 8/17, in Philadelphia's Holmesburg neighborhood. 44-year-old Haywood Neuby shot and killed his wife, 37-year-old Linda Rios-Neuby, before shooting himself. It happened around 7:40 a.m. on the 4000 block of Meridian Street. The babysitter arrived at the home and first heard arguing upstairs between the couple before she heard shots. She ran out of the home for help. The couple's twin 4-year-old girls left on their own and went to a neighbor's. Police entered the home at 8:30 a.m. after declaring a barricade situation and found the two. The couple was estranged but still married and were going through a divorce. Linda Rios-Neuby was the Director of Human Resources for Philadelphia City Council. She had worked for City Council since she started at 17 as an intern.

Police are investigating after a man was found shot to death in the Juniata Park section of Philadelphia on Friday evening, 8/17. Police arrived on the 4300 block of Potter Street around 6 p.m. The body of the 18-year-old was discovered near the Frankford Creek. He was shot in the head and back and pronounced dead at the scene. Police think that he was killed elsewhere and dumped at this location. No arrests at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
