Missing 19-year-old Jeffrey McCollum; Man Found Dead At Vietnam Mem.; Best Buy Stops Selling CDs

Philadelphia Police are seeking the public's help in finding a missing 19-year-old. Jeffrey McCollum was last seen on Saturday at 10 a.m. on the 3800 block of N. 17th Street. He is suffering from autism. He is described as a black male, medium complexion, 5' 6", 126 pounds. He was wearing knee length red pajama pants, a tie-dye red, blue, white, and yellow Polo shirt, black socks, and black Nike sneakers. Philadelphia Police are investigating after a man was found dead near the Vietnam Veterans memorial at Penn's Landing. The body of a man between the ages of 50 and 60 was found on the grass on Spruce Street and Christopher Columbus Boulevard around 6 p.m. The cause of death has not been determined. The man may have been homeless.

Best Buy is no longer selling CDs in its stores. The big box retailer is pulling them from shelves on July 1st. Although, if you have gone into Best Buy looking for a physical copy of your favorite musical artist recently you would have noticed their shelf space has shrunk dramatically since the discs' heyday. CD sales were down 18.5 percent last year alone. Best Buy will still sell vinyl records for at least the next two years. You can find that record selection with the turntables. Target wants to change how it sells CDs, but it is still committed to entertainment. They are trying to get music labels to switch payment terms. Right now, Target buys the initial inventory upfront and then pays to ship back any unsold inventory for credit. They only want to pay the labels when then actually sell/scan a product.
