| Two Men Charged in Phoenixville Murder; Couple Found in Bucks Home; Abington Man Carrying AR-15 |

The Chester County district attorney's office announced that two men have been charged in the death of a Phoenixville Area High School freshman outside of a Dunkin' Donuts last year. 22-year-old Robert McCoy and 24-year-old Brian Corsey have been charged with murder, robbery, conspiracy, and related offenses. McCoy has been arrested and is in Chester County Prison. Corsey is still at large. It happened on December 27, 2017. McCoy and Corsey set up to buy marijuana from 15-year-old Jayson Ortiz-Cameron in the Dunkin' Donuts parking lot. The pair had plans to rob him instead, but the whole exchange went bad. Corsey shot Ortiz-Cameron in the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene. "The senseless murder of a 15-year-old boy was the result of a petty drug deal gone awry. It is a tragedy that reinforces the dangers of all illegal drug use in our community. These charges are another example of the cooperative efforts between the Phoenixville Police Department and Chester County District Attorney's Office to combat drug-related crime," Phoenixville Police Chief Tom Sjostrom said in a statement.
The bodies of a young couple were discovered in their Bucks County home on Tuesday. The house is on the first block of Kitty Knight Drive in Northampton Township. The victims are in their late 20s. They have not been identified. The cause of death is not known at this time. Northampton Police and Bucks County detectives are investigating.
Police in Montgomery County are aware of a man who is walking around carrying an AR-15 rifle to promote the 2nd Amendment. Abington Township Police Chief Patrick Molloy sent a letter to residents concerning the man who has been seen in North Hills, Ardsley, Glenside and the Abington Shopping Center. "While this individual's intentions are unknown, it appears that he is attempting to draw our police officers into a debate or an encounter over his 2nd amendment right to carry this weapon in public," Molloy said. "While no laws have been broken, this individual's actions have caused unnecessary alarm to the public, thus diverting valuable police resources from our core mission." He urges residents not to take action or speak with the man.
The letter to residents.
"Dear Abington Residents,
Today we received multiple reports of a suspicious person walking with an AR-15 (rifle) slung behind his back in the area of North Hills, Ardsley, Glenside and the Abington Shopping Center. While this individual's intentions are unknown, it appears that he is attempting to draw our police officers into a debate or an encounter over his 2nd amendment right to carry this weapon in public. All of our officers are well aware of this passive-aggressive tactic, as they have been videotaped during at least one encounter with him. While no laws have been broken, this individual's actions have caused unnecessary alarm to the public, thus diverting valuable police resources from our core mission.
As your Chief, I assure you that the Department's primary concern is for the safety and well-being of our residents, and this man's actions, while lawful, appear to serve no legitimate purpose. Our Department will continue to balance our duty to protect the 2nd Amendment rights of this individual with our duty to provide public safety to all of our residents.
I can understand your concern and frustration with this very complex issue and urge you to take no action or even speak to this individual. As always, if you feel your safety is threatened, please call 911 and an officer will be dispatched immediately.
