Cosby Jury Selection Starts Monday in Norristown; 4yo Shot Self in Leg; Woman Murdered in Pottstown

Jury selection is set to begin on Monday in the sexual assault retrial of entertainer Bill Cosby. 187 potential jurors have been summoned to the Montgomery County Court House in Norristown. Panelists will answer questions as a group, as well as be questioned individually by lawyers on both sides. It will be almost impossible to find a panelist who has not heard of the case, considering the media attention it has gotten over the years. Last year's first trial drew jurors from outside of Pittsburgh. This retrial has summoned potential jurors from right here in Montgomery County. The court hopes to seat the 12 jurors and 6 alternates this week. Trial is scheduled to start on Monday, April 9th and will last a month. Jurors will be sequestered.

Philadelphia police are investigating after a 4-year-old boy accidentally shot himself in the leg with his father's gun inside their home. It happened just after 5 pm Sunday on the 2100 block of South Alden Street in the Kingsessing neighborhood. The child picked up the gun, which was left on a bed. It went off, striking him in the right leg. The father rushed the boy to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where he is in stable condition. Police recovered the weapon. No charges of arrests have been made.

The Montgomery County District Attorney's office is investigating after a woman was found shot to death in Pottstown. It happened around 2 a.m. on Sunday on the 300 block of Johnson Street. Police responded to reports of a woman screaming and shots fired. They found 23-year-old Siani Overby dead inside the home. The autopsy confirmed that she died from multiple gunshot wounds. The coroner ruled the death a homicide. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Pottstown Police Department at 610-970-6570 or the Montgomery County Detective Bureau at 610-278-3368.
