Philadelphia Eagles' recently acquired defensive end, Michael Bennett, has been indicted by a grand jury in Texas for injured a 66-year-old paraplegic woman last year following Super Bowl LI in Houston, TX. The Harris County district attorney's office says that Bennett was a spectator at the Feb 5, 2017 game held at NRG Stadium. He was watching his brother, Martellus Bennett, play for the New England Patriots against the Atlanta Falcons. After the Patriots won, Michael tried to get to the field to see his brother and celebrate. He was told by security personnel he had to use another entrance. He allegedly pushed through the security staff, including the elderly woman, instead. The Harris County grand jury indicted him on a felony count of injury of the elderly. An arrest warrant has been issued. Bennett was acquired by the Eagles from the Seattle Seahawks earlier this month. The Eagles released this statement: "We are aware of the situation involving Michael Bennett and are in the process of gathering more information. Because this is an ongoing legal matter, we will have no further comment at this time."

Jockey Jose Flores died from his injuries on Thursday after suffering a fall earlier this week. The renowned horseman was thrown to the ground head first on Monday during a race at Parx in Bensalem when his horse collapsed. Flores had an astounding record on the track, winning 4,650 races over a three decade career.

The judge presiding over Bill Cosby's retrial has banned t-shirts, flowers, or any other items from the court room that show support for one side or the other. During the previous trial, several of Cosby's accusers wore badges that said, "We Stand in Truth." Other women carried bouquets of flowers. The defense argued that those items could influence the jurors. They will not be allowed back in the court room when the retrial begins April 2nd.
