Double Shooting In Logan; One Suspect Arrested For Assault; Search For Missing Allentown Teen/Man

Philadelphia Police are investigating a double shooting that took place in the Logan section of Philadelphia on Thursday night. The shooting took place just before 8 pm on the 2000 block of West Champlost Avenue. The 30-year-old victim was shot once in the face and once in the chest, he was pronounced dead on the scene. A 45-year-old man was also shot in the left foot during the shooting. He was rushed to Einstein Medical Center where he is listed in stable condition. So far no arrests have been made.

Philadelphia Police have made one arrest and are searching for another suspect that was involved in a violent sexual assault that took place in the city last weekend. 38-year-old Kenneth Faixmel also known as Rashawn Spann, was placed into custody at around 5 am on Thursday. Police were able to identify Faixmel from the surveillance footage that was released earlier this week. In the video it shows Faixmel remove the victim's bag during the assault. Police say that Faixmel has 41 prior offenses, mainly thefts. Police are now searching for the second suspect, 44-year-old Archie Swinson also known as Archie Moore, who assaulted the woman last Sunday in Center City. Surveillance footage shows Swinson grabbing and strangling the victim and then pulling her on the 400 block of South Watts Street where he punched her and then sexually assaulted her. Swinson is considered armed and dangerous, anyone with information is asked to contact the special victims unit.

A 45-year-old man who had signed a 16-year-old girl out of school 10 times over the past few months have both gone missing. Allentown Police issued a missing persons alert on Wednesday for Kevin Esterly and Amy Yu, a warrant for Esterly's arrest was also issued for interference of with the custody of a child. Yu's mother contacted police numerous times to complain about Esterly signing out her child without her permission. Yu's mother reported her as a runaway on Monday, Police then contacted Esterly's wife who said he had left that day at 6 am. She said he had taken personal documents and withdrawn $4,000 from her account. Police say Esterly drives a 1999 Honda Accord, a search continues for the two.
