Information on Philadelphia Eagles' Super Bowl Parade Route, SEPTA, Street Closing, Parking, Timing

The City of Philadelphia has announced more information on Thursday's Eagles' Super Bowl parade. Millions of fans are expected to come out and celebrate the city's first Super Bowl win and first NFL championship in 58 years. The parade will start at 11 a.m. at Broad & Pattison in South Philadelphia and head north towards City Hall. The parade will then zip zag out to the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and end at the Philadelphia Art Museum. Ceremonies at the Art Museum will start at 1 p.m. and end at 3 p.m. There will be 14 jumbotrons placed along the route. The weather for Thursday is expected to be sunny with high of 35.

The exact route of the parade is as follows:
-Starts at Broad and Pattison in South Philadelphia at 11 a.m.
-Northbound on Broad Street to S. Penn Square
-Westbound on S. Penn Square to 15th Street
-Northbound on 15th Street to JFK Blvd.
-Westbound on JFK Blvd. to 16th Street
-Northbound on 16th Street to the Benjamin Franklin Parkway
-Westbound on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway to Eakins Oval
-Ending at Philadelphia Museum of Art

SEPTA has announced plans on getting fans to and from the parade. The Market-Frankford and Broad Street Lines will be free to ride on Thursday thanks to support from Independence Blue Cross. Only a select number of stations will be open. Trains will run every 5-7 minutes. Regional Rail will be operating modified service. Select stations will be open on each line, typically the final stop. They will only be running into the city in the morning and back out in the afternoon/evening. You can only travel on the Regional Rail with a Weekly or Monthly TrailPass, an Independence Pass, or a pre-purchased senior/reduced fare ticket. The reduced fare Independence Passes must be bought beforehand. They are on sale now for $10 at ticket windows. Get them before they sell out. There will be numerous road closures along the parade route and throughout Center City. There will also be temporary no parking restrictions along many roads and side streets along the route. The PPA will not be enforcing meter and time limit regulations on the day of the parade, but will be ticketing/towing for safety violations.
