Two Women Wanted In Drugging/Robbery; Trump Immigrant Comment; NJ Recreational Marijuana Legislation

Bensalem police are now searching for two women who are wanted for allegedly drugging a man and then robbing him. The victim told police that he was out drinking on New Year's Eve at a bar in Manayunk. The two women approached the man and started talking with him. Police say that the two women either roofied the man or gave him so much too drink that he passed out. The man says he woke up the next day in a hotel in Bensalem with all his possessions gone, including his clothes. The two women then went on a shopping spree with the man's cards and racked up nearly $7,500 in charges and withdraws.

President Trump is now under fire after he allegedly made a vulgar comment on Thursday disparaging immigrants during closed bipartisan immigration meetings. Trump questioned why the U.S. would accept more immigrants from "Haiti and shithole countries" in Africa rather than places like Norway. Trump made the comment as he rejected a bipartisan compromise that would extend protections against deportation of hundreds of thousands of young immigrants, as well as strengthening border protection as Trump has insisted. White House officials did not deny Trump's comment; they issued a statement saying Trump supports immigration policies that welcome "those who can contribute to society."

UPDATE: Trump took to twitter this morning to deny using the specific language reported during the immigration meetings. He did say that he used 'tough' language, but did not explain.

With New Jersey governor-elect Phil Murphy a week away from taking office, he and fellow Democratic lawmakers have introduced legislation that could make recreational marijuana use legal in the state. One of Murphy's campaign agenda's was to legalize recreation marijuana as it could potentially bring in close to $300 million in new revenue. This legislation is similar to one introduced in a previous session. Users would have to be age 21 or above. It also states that users will only be able to posses up to 1 ounce of marijuana, 16 ounces of marijuana infused products, 72 ounces in liquid form, or 7 grams of concentrate. The legislation also establishes a Department of Marijuana Enforcement that would be in charge of regulating the industry.
