Firefighters spent Christmas night battling a fire in Sussex County, Delaware. The fire broke out at around 7:30 pm on Monday in Slaughter Beach on Bay Avenue and Bench Road. Crews say that the fire spread to several other homes on the block. Firefighters say that the fire reached 4-alarms and was still blazing well into the late night hours of Monday. Crews were able to get the upper hand on the fire, but two of the homes were completely destroyed by the fire. So far there is no word on any injuries and or a cause of the fire.

Darby Police are now searching for a man wanted for two shootings. 26-year-old Rashaan Overton is wanted in connection with allegedly shooting and killing a 26-year-old man last Friday at around 10:40 pm on North 6th Street and Greenway Avenue. While investigating the shooting, police say they received information that linked Overton to the shooting. On Christmas morning, police received a call of shots fired on the 200 block of North 9th Street. Upon arrival they realized the housed belonged to Overton. Officials say the shooting at the address was a retaliation against Overton in relation to Friday's shooting.

Two-time Pro Bowler and one of the Eagles all time leading pass rushers, Trent Cole, signed a ceremonial contract before Monday night's game against the Raiders to officially retire as an Eagle. Cole announced earlier in the day that he and his wife are expecting a baby girl in the spring. Cole served as an honorary captain in the Eagles 19-10 victory against the Raiders on Monday night. The Eagles drafted Cole in the 5th round of the 2005 NFL draft. In his career, Cole went on to two Pro Bowls as well as a spot on the Associated Press All-Pro second team in 2009.
