A man was shot to death in the Kensington section after doing a good deed for a neighbor. 26-year-old Elliot Cortez was closing up his shop on 2nd and Westmoreland streets in Kensington. Cortez then helped a nearby store owner lower the gate to his store when two men approached him. The suspects tried to rob Cortez but this is when police say an altercation ensued. The one suspect then pulled out a gun and shot Cortez in the back of the head. He was pronounced dead on the scene. Philadelphia Police are now offering a $20,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of the suspects.

Police are searching for the suspect who is wanted in connection with the quadruple shooting that took place in Southwest Philadelphia last week. Police say that 21-year-old Jabir Kennedy of the 6600 block of Dorel Street is responsible for the shooting. The shooting took place at Kennedy's address after 9:30 pm last week. Officers arrived on the scene to find four victims on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. Police say that Kennedy had assaulted the mother of his children earlier in the day. When news got to the female's family, the four male victims and the female went to confront him. A fight later occurred between the men, this is when Kennedy pulled out his gun and opened fire. Anyone with information is asked to contact Philadelphia detectives.

Bristol Police believe they have made a critical break in the case of the deadly hit-and-run that took place in Bucks County last Saturday night. Police believe that they found the car that is responsible for the hit-and-run, which caused the death of the 52-year-old victim who was on a bike. Police say that they received a tip from a local resident that led them to the car which was parked in a garage on Kentucky Lane in Bristol Township. The car is described as a Mercedes-Benz, the same model and color they have been looking for. Officials stated that they still need to run more tests to see if it is the right car, but they say that this is a huge breakthrough for the case.
