2 Charged In Human Trafficking; Burned Body On Train ID'd; $380,000 Raised For Homeless Man

Two men have been charged in a human trafficking case that Pennsylvania's attorney general is calling "horrible." 34-year-old Kenneth James Cromwell and 50-year-old Barry Charles Schiff have been charged with trafficking individuals, involuntary servitude, prostitution as well as other services. The men are accused of forcing 6 women into prostitution in New Jersey and Pennsylvania since 2014. The women were persuaded into prostitution either by promise of opioids or by death threats. Officials say that Cromwell strangled a woman on occasion, causing her to black out. Schiff reportedly slammed a woman's head into a bucket with bleach and broken glass when she refused to have sex with him.

Philadelphia Police have now identified the burned body that was found on top of a SEPTA train in Chestnut Hill's East Regional Rail line. The body has been identified as 15-year-old Raekwon Jones. His body was found on the train at around 7:50 am on Friday as the train was puling into Jefferson Station. Police say that Jones suffered burns all over his body. His clothing and belongings were also severely burned. Officials are investigating into his cause of death, but they say he was killed instantly, most likely from the high voltage wires above the train that emit 11,000 volts of electricity. SEPTA officials are reviewing surveillance footage to see how and why Jones got on top of the train.

Kate McClure, a New Jersey woman who started a gofundme.com page for a homeless man who helped her in a time of need, has now raised over $380,000 to help get the man back on his feet. The man, Johnny Bobbitt Jr., used his last $20 one night to get McClure gas after her car had run out along I-95. McClure didn't have any money at the time to pay him back but later started a gofundme.com page to help raise money. The story gained national attention and donations began to pour onto the page. McClure updated the page on Monday saying that Bobbitt has met with a financial advisor to help him plan how to spend his money. Bobbitt now plans to buy a new home, as well as his dream car a 1999 Ford Ranger. He is also setting up 2 trust funds with the money, one to provide him with a small annual income and another to be managed by a financial advisor for his retirement. Bobbitt is also going to donate some of the money to organizations and people who have helped him get through a rough patch in his life.
