Meek Mill 2-4 Years For Parole Violations; Uber Driver Saves Trafficking Victim; Porn on Radnor iPad

Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill was sentenced to two to four years in state prison on Monday by a Philadelphia judge for probation violations stemming from a 2008 drug and weapons conviction. 30-year-old Meek Mill, born Robert Rihmeek Williams, has had numerous incidents that violated the conditions of his parole over the past 10 years. Sometimes he received prison time and other times it was house arrest. His probation was also extended 6 years in 2016. Many of his violations came from failure to report travel plans, failed drug tests, and social media gaffes. This past March, Meek Mill was arrested at an airport in St. Louis after an altercation with other passengers. In August, he was charged with reckless driving in New York City after he was caught riding a dirt bike. Common Pleas Judge Genece Brinkley has dealt with his case throughout. "I've been trying to help you since 2009," Brinkley said, "You basically thumbed your nose at me." Prosecutors on the case recommended he not do prison time saying that he had been off drugs since January and has complied with most probation requirements. Brian McMonagle, Mill's lawyer, says he plans to appeal the "excessive" sentence.

Three people have been charged with human trafficking for forcing a 21-year-old California woman into prostitution. It wasn't until the victim told an Uber driver her predicament that police broke up the ring. The victim was lured to Georgia after being recruited from a Los Angeles nightclub to be an escort with the possibility of making thousands. When she arrived in Atlanta she was held against her will and forced to sleep with dozens of men per day. Last month, she was taken to a King of Prussia hotel to meet more men. She was then sent to a Philadelphia hotel in an Uber for another date. That is when the victim told the driver her story and asked to be taken to the police. The driver flagged down a Pennsylvania State trooper who took her to the barracks. 29-year-old Kashamba John and 27-year-old Arianna Somerville both of Decatur, GA are charged with trafficking in individuals, involuntary servitude, prostitution, conspiracy, corruption organizations and related offenses. The third suspect, Tyler Bachtel, is still at large.

A Delaware County commissioner facing charges of child pornography returned to the township building to formally resign as a commissioner on Monday. 66-year-old Philip Ahr stepped down as president of the Radnor Township Board of Commissioners immediately when he was arrested last month. Ahr was charged with child pornography possession and child pornography dissemination, sexual abuse of children, and criminal use of communication facility. Monday afternoon, he came back and handed in his badge, a resignation letter and a work iPad. Authorities say that they found more illegal images on the iPad and that Ahr tried to delete them before returning the device. Investigators were unaware that Ahr had this device in his possession. During a raid of his home, they took a laptop and a desktop computer and recovered images and videos. The investigation began over the summer when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children alerted authorities that Ahr had uploaded and downloaded the explicit content and had used Yahoo Messenger to chat with others. It is not clear if there will be new charges. He is currently out on bail. He will appear in court on November 30th.
