Philadelphia Police have arrested a man they say tried to run down a sheriff's deputy in South Philadelphia on Saturday night. 32-year-old Deven Harley is charged with with aggravated assault and related offenses. It happened around 11:30 p.m. on the 3000 block of South 7th Street. Two deputies were working as part of task force looking for a missing runaway. They spotted the runaway in a white Pontiac Grand Am and pulled in front of the vehicle. They then exited and identified themselves as officers and told the driver, Harley, to turn off his car. That's when Harley put the car into drive and sped off. He struck one of the deputies and broke the driver's side mirror as he sped past. Harley abandoned the vehicle on the 900 block of Johnston Street, but was caught by authorities nearby at Broad and Snyder. The deputy only suffered minor injuries and abrasions to his hands and knees. Harley is due in court at the end of the month.

14-year-old Hannah Jones from New Jersey is still missing after the car was abandoned. She went missing from her South Jersey home last week. He family fears she may have been caught up in a human trafficking ring. The FBI has now joined local law enforcement in the search.

A small group of white supremacists marched in Philadelphia on Saturday in Fairmount Park. Around 20 members of the 'Keystone United' group held a planned rally along Boathouse Row at the Thorfinn Karlsefni statue, an Icelandic explorer who followed Leif Erikson's path to North America. The spot has been the location of other white supremacy rallies in the past. Counter-protestors were also on hand and exchanged heated words with the others. Police kept the peace between the two groups.

After week 6 of the NFL season, the Philadelphia Eagles are sitting pretty with sole possession of 1st place in both the NFC and NFC East. They also share the best record in the NFL with the Kansas City Chiefs, the only team that has beat them. It is still early in the year, but things have been going well. However, as Philadelphia fans, we need something to complain about. The Eagles were able to beat the Carolina Panthers on Thursday, but many fans were upset by the referees. The Eagles were flagged 10 times for 126 yards while Carolina only had one penalty the entire game. Fans have singled out Referee Pete Morreli and his crew. Over the past 4 Philadelphia games he has worked the Eagles were flagged 40 times for 396 yards, and their opponents just 8 times for 74 yards.
