The chairman of Radnor Township's Board of Directors has been arrested on child pornography charges. The Delaware County District Attorney's office announced that 66-year-old Philip Ahr is charged with child pornography possession and child pornography dissemination, sexual abuse of children, and criminal use of communication facility. Investigators were tipped off by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in August. On September 21st, officials executed a search warrant on Ahr's Bryn Mawr home. He used Yahoo Messenger to send and receive pornographic images and videos of prepubescent girls as well as infants and toddlers. He also chatted with an unknown individual about the images. The DA's office said, "A portion of the images and videos depicted sadomasochistic sexual abuse, and children being sexually abused by animals." Ahr posted 10% of $100,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is set for October 26.

A Mexican man who sought sanctuary in a Philadelphia church for months while his deportation case was being heard was finally able to leave on Wednesday. 40-year-old Javier Flores Garcia walked out of the Arch Street United Methodist Church in Center City Philadelphia after spending 11 months inside. He was reunited with his wife and children who are citizens. Garcia finally won his case and will be allowed to stay. He first arrived in the United States in 1997 and was deported several times, returning each time to be with his family. In 2004, Garcia was the victim of a stabbing and helped police find the suspect. That made him eligible for a U-visa, which was finally approved after several appeals. He plans to stay in Northeast Philadelphia and find work to support his family.

Philadelphia Police are investigating after a man was found shot to death in a car in the city's Strawberry Mansion section this morning. It happened just after 11 a.m. on the 2700 block of West Albert Street. The victim was found shot in the head inside a car. The man is believed to be 35-40 years old. Investigators are trying to determine the victim's identity and a possible motive.
