Missing Gloucester Father, Kids; Cape May Teen Opioid Death; Northeast Philly Apartment Fire

Police in Gloucester Township, NJ, are looking for a father and his two children. They were reported missing on Monday, August 14th by a family member. 40-year-old Raymond Reasoner III and his two children, 1-year-old Raegan and 3-year-old Raymond IV, were last seen at their Church Street home in the Blackwood section of Gloucester Township. They were reported missing when Reasoner failed to show up for work on Monday. He drives a dark tan or brown 2013 Nissan Altima with Pennsylvania tag KBP7220. Reasoner III is described as a white male with blue eyes and brown hair, approximately 5' 7", slim build. He was last seen wearing a brown short sleeve shirt and blue jeans. Raymond IV and Raegan both have blond hair and blue eyes. Raymond IV was wearing a white short sleeve shirt with black lettering and gray shorts and Raegan was wearing a black and white Minnie Mouse onesie when they went missing. Anyone with information is asked to call 911, township police at 856-228-4500 or the county tip line at 856-842-5560.

The New Jersey state medical examiner announced on Monday that toxicology reports show that a 13-year-old boy from Cape May County had died from a combination of heroin mixed with fentanyl. Vincent Weiner was found dead on June 4 at his mother's home in Middle Township. He was discovered in his bed in the morning. Fentanyl is an opioid like heroin but much more powerful. Only a few grains can kill. Vincent's mother, Jamie Lund, says she was unaware that her son had been using drugs and does not know how he got them. She was aware that he had been bullied at school and began to act out. Last week, President Trump declared the opioid epidemic a national emergency. New Jersey Chris Christie leads the presidential opioid commission which recommended the declaration.

Three people were injured and about 50 people were displaced after a fire in an apartment complex in Northeast Philadelphia early Tuesday morning. Fire crews were called around 12:30 a.m. to the Canterbury Court apartment complex on Academy Road near Morrell Avenue. Firefighters arrived to find heavy flames coming from the roof. The entire complex was evacuated. Two residents were injured and rushed to area hospitals. One firefighter was also injured and taken to the hospital. It took about an hour to bring the blaze under control. The displaced residents were first placed on a SEPTA bus until the Office of Emergency Management and the Red Cross could find shelter. The fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire. Officials say the buildings alarms were working.
