The Philadelphia District Attorney's Office has filed charges against a Frankford man for shooting and killing the couple next door during a dispute. 69-year-old Kenneth Hoyle is charged with two counts of first degree murder. He is accused of shooting 45-year-old Bob DePaul and 42-year-old August Dempsey. It happened on July 16th on the the 4700 block of James Street. Hoyle claimed he shot the couple in the head in self-defense after they climbed his fence during an argument. At the time, he was briefly taken into custody by police and released. On Monday of this week, with the help of attorney Nick Mattiacci, Dempsey's two teenage sons delivered a petition with approximately 5,000 signatures to new interim DA Kelley Hodge with the hopes that charges would be filed against Hoyle who was still free and living next door. In a statement today, the DA's office stated Hoyle was in custody and that charges were filed "after a comprehensive investigation."

An armored truck security guard in New Jersey has been arrested after stealing $100,000 on his first day of work. Security officials from Garda caught 19-year-old Larry Brooks of Elizabeth, NJ, on surveillance video taking the cash from a truck on Tuesday night. Officers from the company were able to retrieve $85,900 from his car before calling police on Wednesday morning. Brooks was arrested and charged with second-degree theft. He was released on his own recognizance.

The Ben Franklin Bridge will be closed for several hours this weekend for the annual Tour de Shore charity bike ride. The bridge will be shut down from 6:30 a.m. to 8 a.m. on Sunday, July 30th. The 30th annual Tour de Shore supports the Irish Pub Children's Foundation. The foundation is dedicated to raising money for children in need and the families of fallen police officers and firefighters in the Greater Philadelphia and South Jersey Area. Over the past 30 years they have raised $6 million and have already surpassed their goal of $1 million for this year alone. Over 2,000 riders will pedal 65 miles from Philadelphia to Atlantic City, NJ.

Weather
This afternoon, mostly cloudy, temperatures in the low 80s. Showers and thundershowers this evening will give way to steady rain overnight. Low 67F in Center City
