SEPTA Regional Rail Delays; Home Owner Charged; Teen Swept Away In NJ

The group of storms on Wednesday night delayed 4 of SEPTA's regional rail lines, leaving many passengers upset and without any means of transportation. Debris and downed trees shut down the Paoli Thorndale, Fox Chase, Warminster and Wilmington Lines. As the train came to a stop on the Paoli Thorndale line, SEPTA employees were reportedly not very helpful in the situation and did not give information as to what was going on. Many of the passengers were seen leaving the train and walking to the Bryn Mawr station as they waited over an hour on the tracks. Passengers were eventually brought home after the debris was cleared off the tracks, and SEPTA hopes to be running smoothly by Thursday morning.

A property owner in the Germantown section of Philadelphia has now been arrested after engaging in a fight with squatters that were residing at his residence. Police say that the squatters took over the top unit of Kaiem Frink home on 24 East Tulpehocken Street last week. Police say after trying to get them out of the unit, one of the squatters called the police saying that Frink and his friend were going to beat them with a baseball bat. Although the Frink owns the property, he was ordered by the court to stay out or else he would be arrested again. Frink and his friend were arrested with charges of threatening to beat the squatters with a baseball bat. Frink has a preliminary hearing set for July.

Rescue crews are continuing their search on Thursday for a teen who was swept away by the current in Hamilton Township, New Jersey. Four local teenagers were swimming in Rowan Lake on Wednesday afternoon, when a strong flash current came by with the storms, sweeping one of the teenagers away. The teen's friends attempted to try and grab him, but the current was too strong and swept their friend away. Crews will continue their search for the missing teen in the morning. Although the local school is now closed for summer, it is now reopening on Thursday for any student that may need to see a counselor.
