Philadelphia City Councilman at large David Oh has been released from the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery after being stabbed during a robbery attempt near his home last night in the Kingsessing neighborhood of Southwest Philadelphia. It happened around 9:45 p.m. on the 5800 block of Thomas Ave. Oh was getting bags out of the trunk of his car when he was approached by a black man in his 20's. As the man got close, he said "give me your keys" and stabbed him on the left side. Oh was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where he underwent surgery. Police believe this was a crime of opportunity and he was not targeted because he was a councilman. They are looking for surveillance video from the area. David Oh's office released the following statement, "The Councilman thanks the medical staff, his Council and City colleagues, and the community for their prayers and support, and he looks forward to getting back to City Hall to serve Philadelphia. Additionally, anyone with information about this crime is urged to call 911." Watch David Oh describe the encounter below.

Authorities in Bucks County are warning residents after multiple bear sightings in the Doylestown area. The black bear was seen in the Old Orchard neighborhood near Route 202 and East Swamp Road on Thursday morning. Around 11 a.m. it was seen near Fanny Chapman Pool off E. State Road. Officials are telling residents to stay away from the bear and do not attempt to feed it. Pets should be kept inside. The Pennsylvania Game Commission is aware and is trying to location the animal. Any sightings should be reported to the Radio Room at 215-348-3524.

There is now a $25,000 reward attached to the ride-by shooting of a man and his 2-year-old son who were sitting outside their Kensington home last month. The Philadelphia mayor's office is offering a $20,000 reward for information to leading to the arrest and conviction for those responsible. The Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5 is offering $5,000 for information leading to an arrest. It happened around 9:20 p.m. on Friday, May 19th on the 3300 block of Malta Street. 2-year-old Price Johnson was sitting on his father's lap on their front porch when two suspects on bicycles rode by and opened fire. Johnson was hit four times. He has since been released from the hospital. His father was hit in the knee. He remains in the hospital. Anyone with information on this investigation is asked to contact East Detective Division at 215-686-3243 or call 911.
