Donor Gets Child New Wheelchair; Teen Shot In Wilmington; NFL Draft List Of Restrictions

An anonymous donor has now contacted the family of the 10-year-old child whose wheelchair was stolen outside of their home on Tuesday morning. On Wednesday morning, an anonymous caller contacted Mr. Wheelchair, a store in Holmesburg, and told the technician there that she wanted to purchase a new wheelchair for the boy. The technician stated that the donor does not care about the expense but that the child is able to move around comfortably again. The technician and donor visited the family's home on Wednesday to get the chair fitted for the child. It is expected to arrive on Friday.

Wilmington Police are now investigating after a teen was critically injured in a shooting that occurred in Wilmington Wednesday night. The shooting took place at around 9:30 pm on the 900 block of Kirkwood Street. Police were called to the scene and arrived to find the 17-year-old girl with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest. The teenager was taken to Christiana Hospital where she is currently listed in critical condition. So far there have not been any arrests and police are continuing their investigation into the shooting.

UPDATE: The girl has now passed away due to her injuries.

With the start of the NFL Draft in Philadelphia Wednesday, the security for the event has released a list of numerous items that will not be allowed into the event venue. Some of the many items include bags, purses or backpacks that are larger than 16"x14"x12", any type of weapon including guns, pepper spray or any variation of tazer. No smoking of any kind (cigarettes or e-cigarettes), no pets other than service animals and no bottles or containers of any kind. The NFL has hired their own private security company to help run the security detail, but Philadlphia Police will also be around providing extra help. The event is expected to bring in around 200,000 people. For the full list of items banned from the draft venue see below.

- No bags, purses, or backpacks larger than 16" x 14" x 12"

- No bottles, cans, liquid containers, coolers except for fans with medical / dietary needs and empty reusable water bottles
- No outside food or beverage expect empty reusable water bottles
- No video recorders except for credentialed media
- No drones or UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) of any kind
- No missile-like objects
- No hover boards or any other self-propelled devices
- No smoking, lighters or e-cigarettes
- No laser pointers
- No artificial noisemakers
- No poles or sticks of any kind, including selfie sticks
- No object that may obstruct another fan's view, including umbrellas over 4' in diameter
- No folding chairs, bikes, or other large personal items
- No promotional items with commercial slogans or identification without written consent from the NFL
- Any item deemed dangerous or inappropriate, in management's sole discretion, will not be allowed at Draft and NFL Draft Experience
- Confiscated items will be disposed of and not returned
- Items left in vehicles should be stored out of sight
- Cameras and Binoculars - Small cameras and binoculars will be allowed. No spectator cameras with lenses more than six inches (6") long will be permitted. Binocular cases and camera bags are not permitted.
- No full face masks except for religious purposes
