Philadelphia Police are searching for three men who were caught on video attacking and robbing another man on the street in broad daylight over the weekend. It happened around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 15th, on the 3500 block of B and Tioga streets in Kensington. The 25-year-old victim had just left a restaurant where he picked up a job application. He turned up the street when he was confronted by three men. One man punches him in the face and he falls to the ground. The other men repeatedly kick and punch him until he is unconscious. They steal his wallet, money, and cell phone. The victim was taken to the hospital where he was treated and released. The suspects are described as Hispanic males. One had a scruffy beard and a mustache and was wearing a black skully hat, a black coat and black sweatpants. The second one had bushy hair and was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, red pants and red sneakers. The third one had a stocky build, a beard and a mustache. He had a cast on his right arm, tattoos on both arms, and was wearing a white t-shirt, black pants and red sneakers. Anyone with information is asked to call East Detective Division: 215-686-3243/3244 See Video below.

New Castle County police are investigating after a man was shot and killed by officer following a chase and confrontation in Delaware this afternoon. It happened around 2 p.m. near Philadelphia Pike and Washington Street Extension in Wilmington. Police were following the suspect as part of an investigation. When they attempted to pull him over he refused to stop and led them on a short chase. He crashed his vehicle in the intersection out front of St. Helena's Catholic Church and fled on foot. Officers pursued him. A confrontation ended with the suspect shot by police. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers were taken to the hospital for medical evaluation. The investigation continues.

Eric Frein, an anti-government activist who ambushed two Pennsylvania State Troopers in a sniper attack and then led authorities on a 48-day manhunt, was convicted on all 12 charges today by a jury. The 33-year-old opened fire on the Blooming Grove state police barracks in Northeast Pennsylvania on September 12th, 2014. He killed Cpl. Bryon Dickson II and wounded Trooper Alex Douglass. Frein, an experienced survivalist, then fled into the thick woods of the Pocono Mountains and eluded police for weeks until he was captured by US Marshals in an abandoned plane hangar. The trial lasted two weeks. The prosecution presented over 500 exhibits of evidence and called numerous witnesses. The defense closed its case without calling anyone to testify or presenting one piece of evidence. Frein now faces the possibility of the death penalty which the jury will decide. In Pennsylvania, Gov. Tom Wolf has placed a moratorium on executions in the state. The last execution in PA was held in 1999.
