Grenade Found In Port Richmond; Judge To Rule In Teen Murder Case; Lawyer Accused Of Stealing $147K

Philadelphia Police are now investigating after a grenade was found in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia on Tuesday. The grenade was found on a walkway on the 3100 block of Tilton Street at around 2:30 pm. Residents who found the grenade immediately contacted 911 to come help dispose of the explosive. The Philadelphia Bomb Unit arrived on the scene and later determined that the grenade was inactive and posed no threat. Police are now investigating to see who placed the grenade in the walkway.

Both the defense and the prosecution attorneys have now made their closing arguments in the case of three girls who are charged in the death of a 16-year-old girl. The girl died during a fight that took place at Howard High School of Technology in Wilmington in April of 2016. The trial has been going on for a week now, and the judge has stated that he is set to announce his verdict on whether or not he sees that these girls are guilty on Thursday. An autopsy of 16-year-old Amy Joyner-Francis shows that she died from a sudden cardiac death which was brought on by the physical and emotional stress from the fight. One of the 17-year-old girls is being charged with criminally negligent homicide, while the other two 17-year-olds are being charged with conspiracy.

A former Pennsylvania lawyer has been accused of stealing tens of thousands of dollars from his clients. 45-year-old Patrick Bradley of Collegeville, PA reportedly stole around $147,000 from 12 different clients, all of which had special needs. Bradley was hired to help out and do work for the clients, but actually did nothing for them. Authorities stated that Bradley used the money to pay his mortgage, utility bills, as well as other personal expenses. It has been reported that Bradley's law practicing license was suspended in 2015, and he was also disbarred this past September.
