The former Amish couple who 'gifted' their 9 daughters to a Feasterville man have entered pleas in their case. The mother, Savilla Stoltzfus, pled guilty to child endangerment. The father, Daniel Stoltzfus, pled no contest to child endangerment. A charge of conspiracy to commit statutory rape was withdrawn. Authorities discovered 11 Amish girls living in the Bucks County home of Lee Kaplan. Two of them were children he fathered with one of Stoltzfus daughters. Savilla Stoltzfus and nine of her daughters lived with Kaplan for three to four years. They were a gift for helping the family "transition from the Amish lifestyle" and providing spiritual and financial assistance. Kaplan is charged with multiple counts of child rape. His trial is in May.

Defendant Eric Frein was taken to the hospital this morning around 8 a.m. after falling inside his cell according to defense attorney Michael Weinstein. His parent's spoke to reporters outside of the courthouse and said they were told he fell while brushing his teeth and hit his head. Pike County District Attorney Ray Tonkin tweeted earlier that the trial would resume at 1:30 p.m. Frein is on trial for the 2014 sniper attack on the Blooming Grove barracks of the Pennsylvania State Police. Cpl. Bryon Dickson II was killed and Trooper Alex Douglass was critically wounded. Frein led authorities on a 48-day manhunt. He faces the death penalty if convicted.

A Philadelphia monsignor who works as the rector of an Archdiocese of Philadelphia retirement home for aging priests was charged on Wednesday with embezzing more than a half million dollars. Federal prosecutors have charged 77-year-old Msgr. William A. Dombrow with diverting $535,258.11 over nine years. He was in charge of the account that accepted donations for Villa St. Jospeh in Darby. He used the money to fund dinners, tickets to the Philly Pops, and trips to Harrah's Chester. When the bank finally noticed unusual activity it notified the Archdiocese which contacted authorities. Msgr. Dumbrow's attorney Coley Reynolds says his client takes full responsibility and intends to enter a guilty plea.
