DA Seth William Indicted on Federal Charges; Video of Jewelry Heist; Willow Grove Child Porn Arrest

Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams has been indicted in a federal corruption and bribery case. The 23-count indictment was announced on Tuesday afternoon and includes charges of bribery, extortion, and honest services wire fraud. Authorities alleged that Williams received gifts such as luxury vacations to the Dominican Republic, a Jaguar convertible, furniture, jewelry, airfare, cash and more totaling $160,000 in valuables in exchange for official acts and prosecutorial favors. In January, he was fined $62,000 by the Philadelphia Board of Ethics board for failing to disclose gifts. He announced that he wouldn't be seeking a third term as DA back then. FBI, IRS and Department of Homeland Security special agents announced the charges today. Williams was not in the office today, he was at home with family. He will be arraigned at a later date. Philadelphia Police have released surveillance video in connection to the burglary at Kim Thanh Jewelry in Northeast Philadelphia on Monday morning. It happened around 12:30 a.m. at the store on the 5500 block of Whitaker Avenue in the Asian Market shopping center in Rhawnhurt. The two burglars cut a hole in the roof of the adjacent Bambu Cafe. They then smashed through the adjoining wall into the jewelry store. They stole diamonds, rings, watches, and more from the safe totaling $1.3 million. They were wearing white jumpsuits and covering their faces with bandanas. You can watch the video below.

A 26-year-old Willow Grove man has been arrested and charged with possessing and distributing sexually explicit pictures of children. Andrew Liebman is facing charges of dissemination of child pornography, sexual abuse of children, child pornography and criminal use of a communication facility. In October 2016, police were conducting undercover operations on the internet. They traced a computer sharing sexually explicit files with others to Liebman's home and seized his computer. It contained more than 300 images and 24 videos of children under the age of 18 in sexual acts. He has been released on $25,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 30th.
