Officials at Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey have now come up with a plan to help fix the campus' problem with lead-tainted water in many of the dormitories. The University had the water tested on campus and lead-tainted water was found in nine older residence halls. University officials will be installing filters into the affected sinks in the buildings during the school's spring break next week as temporary fix until the main source of the lead-tainted water is found. The University will continue to supply bottled water to the students living in the affected dorms, as well as increasing the number of clean water locations around campus.

A man is critically injured and on life support after being involved in a shooting that led to a crash in the Germantown section of Philadelphia. The incident took place on the 1100 block of East Haines Street at around 7:30 pm on Tuesday. Several gunshots were fired at a Jeep as it was driving down East Haines Street, several of them going through the windshield and hitting the driver. This caused the driver to lose control of the car and crash head on into an oncoming car. The 25-year-old man injured in the Jeep was taken to Einstein Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the forehead. He is currently in critical condition and on life support at the hospital. The driver and passenger in the Audi were also taken to Einstein Medical Center, but are in stable condition. Police are currently reviewing security camera footage from local businesses to try and find the suspects responsible.

Chester County Authorities announced on Tuesday that they have arrested more than four-dozen suspects in a drug investigation known as "Operation Crushed Ice." The 2-year joint investigation between the Chester County Detectives and the Pennsylvania State Police were able to target a drug operation in Southern Chester County. The drug ring sold methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, marijuana, and prescription drugs that were distributed to the surrounding Philly suburbs, and even as far as Arizona and Puerto Rico. Many of the arrests were able to come about after a large string of police raids occured in January that were able to uncover droves of illegal drugs, as well as a combined 40 firearms, cash, around 20 vehicles and drug trafficking paraphernalia including scales and packing material at 17 different locations in the area. The reported head of the drug ring, 27-year-old Richard Maitre, had been under police surveillance after he was found dealing drugs from a Chester County Prison back in 2015. Maitre as well as 48 others have been charged with felony drug trafficking, conspiracy, firearms violation and many other related charges.
