Pennsylvania's Attorney General Josh Shapiro announced on Wednesday the potential estimate for the legal costs associated with former AG Kathleen Kane's court case. Shapiro appeared at a state senate budget hearing on Wednesday and stated that an estimated $3.6 million went into Kane's legal fees, including more than half of it to an outside law firm review of tawdry emails. Shapiro also stated that around $791,000 was spent for various settlements, and $191,000 was spent in legal costs for representing employees at Kane's trial.

Police are now investigating a multi-vehicle car crash in Northeast Philadelphia that left one man dead and a pair of 2-year-old twins injured. The accident took place on Tuesday on Woodhaven and Thornton roads. Police say a 48-year-old man driving a car hit another car, throwing that car into the rear end of a van that was pulled off on the side of the road. A 27-year-old man was standing in front of the van on the side of the road pouring fluid into the radiator of the van at the time of the crash. He was then thrown from in front of the car and suffered serious head trauma and other injuries. He was found unconscious when police arrived on the scene and was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on Wednesday morning. The two twins both suffered serious injuries, and were transported to CHOP where they are being treated. So far no one has been charged in the accident.

After the Trump administration on Wednesday ended the federal protection of transgender students using a bathroom or locker room of the gender they identify with, the Philadelphia School District has now decided to not change it's transgender bathroom policy. Superintendent Dr. William Hite stated "The School District of Philadelphia remains a safe and welcoming place of inclusion for all students." Hite stated that every student should have their rights recognized and upheld at their school. Without the transgender directive, it will be solely up to the states and school districts to determine whether transgender students can use the bathroom or locker room they most identify with.
