The Sixers were able to seal a 122-119 victory over the Kings on Monday even without the help of star center Joel Embiid who was out with a left knee contusion. The Sixers were down 16 points in the first half, but they scored 42 points in the third quarter giving them the lead they needed to get a victory. Sixers small forward Robert Covington had 23 points in the game as well as 10 rebounds to help rally the Sixers for a win. Next up, the Sixers take on the Mavericks on Wednesday.

MLBPipeline.com announced that Phillies No. 1 top prospect, 18-year-old Mickey Moniak was ranked in the top 10 outfield prospects for 2017. Moniak was ranked No. 6 out of 10 in the top outfielder prospects in 2017. He was given an above average rating of 60 for hitting and fielding, and received a score of 55 overall. MLBPipeline.com stated "Moniak has considerable tools that should excite Phillies fans, he can flat-out rake, making consistent hard contact from the left side of the plate."

The Sixers have stated that they turned down the Cleveland Cavaliers offer to trade Sixers starting point guard TJ McConnell for the Cavs Jordan McRae, who was originally the Sixers second round pick in 2014. McConnell is averaging 8.0 points per game, 9.2 assists, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game. McConnell still has a club option of more than $1 million over the next two seasons.
