Police are investigating after a pizza deliveryman was shot during an attack in Southwest Philadelphia. The incident happened at 54th and Yocum Streets at around 7:05 pm on Monday. Police say that 36-year-old man was delivering a pizza at a home, when two men in the adjacent home came out and shot the delivery man in the left arm. The delivery man fell to the ground, and pulled out his own gun and began firing. It is not clear if any of the suspects were shot. The deliveryman was able to drive himself to University of Pennsylvania Hospital. So far no arrests have been made.

A Philadelphia man has now been charged with murder in connection with the death of his grandmother in South Philadelphia over the weekend. 27-year-old Derrik Dabney was charged on Monday in the stabbing death of his 70-year-old grandmother Geraldine McCoy this past Saturday evening. The incident happened on the 7900 block of Caesar Palace. Police arrived on the scene to find the woman dead in the second-floor bathroom with multiple stab wounds. Dabney's court date is being determined.

Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney has now signed a bill that aims to help fight against wage discrimination, by prohibiting employers from asking about previous pay history in the application process. The Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce has stated that this bill will hurt job growth and business recruitment in the city. The Chamber also stated that there is no evidence that the new law will aide in wage equality and that it is discouraging new business in the city. The mayor stated that he is confident that the law will survive in the city.
