Police Presence In Phila. Mills Mall, Clue In Missing NJ Family Case, Woman Facing Murder Charges

Philadelphia Police have begun to bring a heavy presence of officers at the Philadelphia Mills Mall due to the past 2 nights of chaos. Tuesday nearly 400 teens showed up at the mall and caused havoc. Around 90 of the juveniles made it into the food court, past security, and started fighting. While police and mall security tried to break up the fights and get the kids out of the mall, many of them started saying obscenities towards them, and some even throwing punches toward officers. Four juveniles were arrested and face serious charges, one of them includes assault against an officer. Police are continuing their heavy presence at the mall to prevent more gatherings like this.

A new clue has broken in the case of the missing 5-year-old girl La'Myra Briley and her great-grandmother Barbara Briley. The two were traveling from their home in New Jersey to North Carolina on Christmas Eve, which is the last their family heard from the two. The two were last seen at an Exxon about 30 miles from Richmond, Virginia where they pulled over to get help setting their GPS. The family of the two say they were not able to reach them after 8 pm, but officials now say that phone released a signal in the early morning hours of Christmas day near Richmond. State Police as well as the family have been searching the area for days, and are planning on searching till the two are found.

Philadelphia Police have arrested a woman in connection with the death of a Mount Airy man who was found shot dead in his SUV on Tuesday. Police say that the woman in custody, Martina Westcott, had been arguing with her boyfriend, 33-year-old Terrell Bruce, while driving in his Ford Expedition on Tuesday. This is when Westcott shot Bruce in the head while he driving causing the SUV to crash into an oncoming car and overturn on the 500 block West Walnut Lane in Germantown. When police and medics arrived it looked like it was a bad crash, but upon further examination, they saw a gunshot wound to Bruce's head. Witnesses tell police they saw Westcott get out of the car and run across Walnut Lane Bridge, but was later arrested by Police. She is now facing serious gun charges as well as murder charges.
