Starting in January of 2018 Pennsylvania residents wanting to board a flight will need another form of ID other than their state issued Driver License or ID. The ID's will not be valid to board a flight because Pennsylvania has not been compliant with the country's REAL ID Act. The Act establishes a minimum security standards for state issued licenses and ID's. Kentucky, Maine, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Washington are not compliant with the act as well. The TSA has now begun posting signs in airports to remind travelers of the upcoming change. Starting this Jan. 30, 2017, your PA ID will not be valid form of identification to enter federal facilities, expect to apply for or receive federal benefits. Currently PA ID's do not meet federal anti-counterfeiting guidelines and identification information such as names and photographs are not stored in a federally accessible database.

PennDOT announced on Wednesday that the construction along I-95 between Cottman Avenue and Bridge Street is now finished and that crews are getting ready to fully reopen the north and southbound lanes. Crews replaced 7 bridges, upgraded 4 ramps, built 13 retaining walls, and also installed storm drain water drainage pipes, as well as electronic equipment to help better the flow of traffic. PennDOT officials said that the other part of the $200 Million project involves extending Princeton Avenue, as well as the reconstruction of New State Road, which will be done by next fall.

A Philadelphia man who was charged with attacking and sexually assaulting four women in Kensington, has now been charged with first-degree murder of a woman in Yeadon, Delaware County. 37-year-old Byron Allen has been charged with first degree murder and other offenses for stabbing and killing Natasha Gibson in September of 2016. Officials say that Gibson was killed as she was walking to a friend's house in Yeadon in September. She was stabbed over 20 times, and officials say that this was a random attack. Allen's blood was found at the scene and that is how investigators linked him to the murder. Allen is currently in jail in Philadelphia.
