A Philadelphia tow truck driver has been arrested in connection with a crash that took place in Lower Merion earlier in December. 44-year-old Farran Haynes has been charged with accident involving death or personal injury, failure to stop and render aid, as well as many other related charges. Haynes was driving a flat bed truck owned by Bala Motor Sports when he struck a 72-year-old man on Righters Mill Road on December 2nd. The victim was found unresponsive by police and was pronounced dead at the hospital. Haynes also was found guilty of operating the truck in excess of federal regulations as well as altering a Commercial Medical Certificate. His bail has been set at $25,000.

The family of one of the victims in the deadly Hoboken New Jersey Transit Train Crash that took place in September has now filed a notice of their intent to sue New Jersey Transit. Lawyers for the 34-year-old victim Fabiola Bittar de Kroon filed a claim for damages from the crash on Tuesday. De Kroon was standing on the platform when a piece of falling debris from the crash struck and killed her. It was later revealed that the engineer of the train suffered from sleep apnea, which officials believe is the cause of the high speed of the crash. Officials also stated that the agency failed to properly screen, monitor, and treat any train workers' medical issues. The lawyers representing the family stated that the lawsuit is seeking all compensatory damages allowed under the law.

New Jersey State Police have now located 32-year-old Jeremiah Monell's blue Chevy pickup truck. Monell is wanted in connection with the murder of his wife 36-year-old Tara O'Shea, who they found dead in their home on Raymond Drive in Commercial Township on Monday morning. Police stated that they found the truck on Sawmill Road in Ceaderville, New Jersey. Police have taken Monell's car into their impound, but Monell is still at large. Anyone with any information on his whereabouts is asked to contact New Jersey State Police (856-785-0036).
