Over a dozen new felony charges have been filed against a Bucks County man who had been caught living with 12 young girls in his Feasterville home in June. 51-year-old Lee Kaplan is now charged with sexually assaulting 5 more of those girls. There are 15 new charges including rape, involuntary deviate intercourse, indecent assault and other offenses. It started when an Amish couple, Daniel and Savilla Stolzfus, gave Kaplan their then 14-year-old daughter as a gift for helping them out of financial hardship. The couple eventually sent him their other 9 daughters. Kaplan fathered two daughters with one of the girls. He groomed the girls into thinking he was their husband and they were his wives. They also believed he was a prophet from God. The parent's are charged with child endangerment.

Negotiations continue between SEPTA officials and the Transport Workers Union at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown Hotel in Center City today. 5,700 workers will go on strike tonight at midnight if a new deal is not reached. That strike will affect some 400,000 SEPTA bus, trolley, and subway riders. The Regional Rail, Suburban bus, Trolley Routes 101 & 102, and Norristown High Speed line would not be affected. 60,000 school children also use the system to get to and from school. They are discussing healthcare, pension and work rules such as schedules, break times and driver fatigue.

A 6-year-old boy who was run over by a Halloween float during a parade down the shore on Sunday remains in the hospital today. It happened around 1:45 p.m. in Point Pleasant, NJ, while he was walking along the parade route with his mother. The boy was hit by the wheel of a trailer that was being used as a float. Officials say that the two of them were with the float. Their names have not been released. The boy is currently in stable condition in the intensive care unit.
