Authorities say that a man and a woman who were wanted for a shooting that happened in Delaware, were shot and killed at a hotel in Elkton, Maryland, after a confrontation with police. The victims have been identified as 25-year-old Brandon Jones and 25-year-old Chelsea Porter who were both from Dover, Delaware. The shooting took place at 10:30 am at the New Eastern Inn on Pulaski Highway. Police arrived at the hotel with a warrant, but when they got there, Jones came out of the room with a weapon. After refusing to put the weapon down, police opened fire and killed him. Then Porter came out with a weapon, and after refusing to put the weapon done as well, police shot and killed her. Investigators found that the weapons the victims had were BB Guns. An investigation into the shootings continues.

A lawsuit has been filed in Cape May County's Superior Court to have the Hereford Beach Inlet on the North Wildwood beach shut down for good. The lawsuit is being filed by the family of a man who died 4 years ago, along with 3 other people, after they were walking on the beach and got sucked into deep water. Officials say that the Inlet forms a hole during different tides which can cause a whirlpool effect that pulled the victims in 4 years ago. The attorney of the family stated that this is the first private legal action of its kind in New Jersey. So far there has been no comment from the state or from the City of Wildwood.

A Police training exercise occurred Tuesday night at the Philadelphia International Airport. The training exercise took place around 9 pm in Terminal A-West involving Philadelphia Police and other law enforcement agencies. The exercise lasted a couple of hours, but officials stated that they wouldn't interfere with any regular airport operations. Philadelphia Police sent out a tweet to the public stating that the drill was taking place in the airport, and for employees and passengers to not be alarmed.

Weather

Wednesday, Clear and Sunshine, with a high of 54 degrees in Center City.
