A family in Philadelphia was subject to a frightening home invasion on Tuesday night. The home invasion happened in the Lawncrest section of Philadelphia on the 1300 block of Hellerman Street. Two unidentified men broke into the family's house at around 7:45 pm Tuesday night, and held the husband and wife at gunpoint. The suspects were able to get away with $275 and the family's gun they kept for emergencies like this. None of the victims were injured, but police are still searching for the suspects responsible.

The Headmaster of The Haverford School, Dr. John Nagl, is now being placed on leave by the school's Board of Trustees after his recent arrest. Nagl was arrested and is facing simple assault charges after an altercation with his son. Nagl had found marijuana in his son's backpack on Saturday, so as punishment he took away the drugs and his son's cell phone. Nagl told police on Monday that he reportedly caught his son on the cell phone that he took away. Nagl grabbed the phone from his son's hands which caused an altercation between the father and son, and ended in Nagl having his son in a choke hold. The schools board stated that Nagl is cooperating fully with the school as well as with police.

A New Jersey couple and the home improvement companies they own are facing serious charges after they were caught stealing money from over 20 victims from Hurricane Sandy. Officials say that Tiffany Cimino and Jeffery Colmeyer were given more than $1 million to help rebuild destroyed homes of Hurricane Sandy victims. Allegedly, instead of using the money to rebuild the homes, the couple used it to gamble, buy cars and jewelry. A majority of the money the couple stole was from a state-run Sandy relief effort. They are facing theft as well as other charges.
