Two children were struck by a car in Northeast Philly Friday afternoon. The incident happened at around 4:30 at Large Street and Longshore Avenue. Police say the children that were hit were ages 2 and 7. Both of the children were taken to Aria Health Torresdale, and so far there is no word on their conditions. Police are still investigating the incident.

All of the Public Schools in Philadelphia will be having their water checked for any traces of lead that could be potentially harming the children drinking it. The Philadelphia School District began testing certain schools in August, but on Friday the testing has branched out to all of the public schools in Philly. The testing will happen in the schools for the next 18 months. So far with the 22 of the 40 schools checked, 86% of their water outlets passed the requirements for water safety. The other remaining water outlets that did not pass had to be shut down immediately.

The motorcycle crash that happened Thursday afternoon on the Pennsylvania Turnpike has now left one man dead. The accident happened just after 1 pm on the westbound lanes near King of Prussia. Police are now saying that a car was traveling down the westbound lanes, crashed into a state troopers vehicle on the shoulder, then hit the motorcycle which knocked both the male driver and the female passenger off. Both were taken to Paoli hospital, where the male motorcyclist later died. The women passenger is being treated for non life threatening injuries. So far there is no word on any arrests.
