A Delaware County woman is dead, her throat slashed, and police are at two scenes looking for clues. They found a knife in a sewer at 61st and Baltimore in Cobbs Creek. Yeadon Police Chief Donald Molineux says a family friend was expecting the victim, but she didn't show up. Instead, that friend saw her lying on the steps in the 600 block of Baily Road, across from the police station, and called police. That was at about 3am. The call was about a stabbing and possible throat slashing. Police found a 32-year-old woman with a severe throat laceration. She was bleeding and unresponsive, and pronounced dead there at the scene. The chief also said investigators tracked blood droplets around Yeadon, Regional Rail tracks, eastbound on Baltimore Avenue and 61st Street, to 58th and Cobbs Creek Parkway. They had used dogs to track the killer, but the canines lost the trail 59th and Christian.

A video has surfaced showing two white Philadelphia police officers looking for information from several young black men on a city street corner. The cops order the men to disperse. On the video, one of the black men is heard to say, "Come on y'all, they might be gonna shoot us." A voice that appears to be one of the officers replies: "Not all of you-- just one." Philadelphia Police are reviewing the video and are calling the comments inappropriate.

A longtime Trenton police officer and former mayor in Franklin Township, Gloucester County, died Wednesday following allegations he had brought a prostitute into a police building. The Trentonian, which reported the allegations and identified Ed Leopardi, said he had committed suicide at his home. Township officials confirmed his death and said they had canceled a committee meeting Wednesday evening out of respect for his family. "We ask that all residents of Franklin Township take this time to mourn Ed's passing and to take time to express their personal condolences to Ed's wife, Rene, and their family," a statement from the township committee said.
