New Jersey State Police have made a sixth arrest in last month's 'rolling shootout' on the Atlantic City Expressway. 25-year-old Wilbert Demosthene of Pleasantville, NJ, has been charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, and certain persons not to possess a firearm. Detectives located a black truck believed to be involved in the shooting. They executed a search warrant and discovered blood evidence. Demosthene took himself to a Philadelphia hospital days after the incident with a bullet wound to his arm. Samples from the suspect matched those from the truck. It all happened on August 29th on the Atlantic City Expressway with moving cars shooting at each other. Three vehicles were involved in the shooting, including a Ford Exibition and Nissan Maxima. 5 others, including a juvenile, have been arrested. 4 of those were wounded. One person was killed.

An Atlantic City police officer who was shot in the line of duty over Labor Day weekend was released from the hospital this morning. Officer Joshlee Vadell was injured on September 3rd when he and his partner attempted to stop a robbery in progress near the Caesar's Casino parking lot. Vadell was hit in the head as he got out of his police cruiser. His partner returned fire and stuck and killed 25-year-old suspect Jerome Damon of Camden. Two other robbery suspects were caught and remain jailed. Vadell left the hospital to cheers and applause from a crowd of officers and emergency workers. He now will head to a rehabilitation facility in Philadelphia to continue his recovery.

Wawa's Concordville, Delaware County, location has received approval to sell beer from Pennsylvania. You'll soon be able to pick up a six-pack of suds to go with your shortie and some smokes all at the same place. Wawa has to make some physical modifications to the Naamans Creek Road location in Chadds Ford to comply with PLCB laws. That includes a separate 400 sq-ft eating space and seating for at least 30, which makes it a 'restaurant.' Similar modifications have been made in supermarkets across the state to allow them to sell beer as well. Wawa says it should be ready by January. While they say they don't have any plans to expand the beer business to other locations, this looks like the future.

Tonight,
Partly Cloudy, temperatures in the mid/low 70's this evening in Center City
