Woman in Custody After Violent Chase; Missing Abington Man Found; Wells Fargo Fined

A woman is in custody after a violent police chase and crash in Port Richmond on Thursday evening. It started around 9:15 p.m. near E and Clearfield streets in Kensington. Philadelphia Police attempted to pull over a Jeep that was reported stolen. The suspect tried to ram a police vehicle and run over a police officer. Police opened fire on the car. She fled the scene with police chasing. It eventually the chase came to an end near Richmond and Ann streets in Port Richmond. The Jeep crashed into a police van and flipped over. The suspect was taken to Temple University Hospital and is expected to be ok. No officers were injured.

A missing man from Abington, Montgomery County, has been found after being reported missing on Wednesday. 27-year-old Vadin Topcov was found unresponsive in the Pennypack Creek inside of Lorimer Park. A witness had spotted him at 5:23 p.m. on Thursday. He was found in a remote area of the park. Crews took him to Abington Hospital where he remains. Topcov was last seen near Moreland and Pine roads in Huntingdon Valley and had reportedly taken a lot of pills. No word on his current condition.

Federal and California regulators imposed combined fines of $185 million on Thursday. They allege that bank employees illegally opened millions of unauthorized accounts for their customers to meet aggressive sales goals. Wells Fargo staff is alleged to have opened 2 million bank and credit card accounts that may have not been authorized by customers. They transferred money to these new accounts, issued debit cards, created PINs, even faking e-mail accounts for online banking services, all without telling customers. Around 5,300 employees have been terminated.
