Lawsuit For Railing Collapse at Rap Concert; Woman Falls From Zip Line; Wounded Warrior Bike Arrest

Lawyers representing 17 people injured when a railing collapsed at a Snoop Dogg/Wiz Khalifa concert in Camden, NJ earlier this month have filed a lawsuit against the venue and the performers. The suit claims that enough precautions were not taken to ensure the safety of the concertgoers. The lawsuit was filed in Philadelphia by attorney Robert J. Mongeluzzi and includes 14 concertgoers and three workers. On August 5th, a railing separating the lawn section from a walkway outside the covered pavilion at BB&T Pavilion in Camden broke. Dozens of fans poured over the edge and several feet onto the concrete below. 42 people were injured in total. It happened as the two rappers appeared on a small secondary stage set up in the walkway right in front of that section of railing. Live Nation owns and operates the venue. A woman has died after falling approximately 30 - 40 feet from a zip line in Bear, Delaware this afternoon. It happened around 2:30 p.m. at the Go Ape Zip Line & Tree Top Adventure at Lums Pond State Park at 1042 Howell School Rd. The 58-year-old woman was taken to Christiana Hospital where she died from her injures. There is no word how the incident occurred. UPDATE: 59-year-old Tina Werner of Felton, Kent County was standing on a platform waiting to take the zip line when she fell.

An arrest has been made in the theft of thousands of dollars worth of bicycle equipment from the Wounded Warrior Project. 48-year-old Roy Bowman of Philadelphia has been charged with theft and receiving stolen property. Sometime overnight between 11 pm August 12th and the morning of August 13th a U-haul truck containing bicycles, parts, and other equipment was stolen from the parking lot of the Renaissance Philadelphia Airport Hotel at 500 Stevens Drive in Tinicum Township. All of the equipment inside belonged to Wounded Warrior Project with an estimated value of $37,000. It was taken just hours before the annual Soldier Ride in Philadelphia. Philadelphia Police Major Crimes Unit received a tip on Tuesday that the bikes were in a garage on the 4100 block of Sterling Street. They obtained a search warrant for the home. Bowman was arrested and some of the bikes were recovered. The investigation is ongoing.
