South Jersey Brush Fire; Big NBA Draft for 76ers; Lawyers Comment in Gifted Child Case

A brush fire burning in and around Browns Mills, Burlington County in South Jersey, is about 25 percent contained and some roads in the area are closed. The fire started Wednesday afternoon. Crews worked through the night, fighting it both on the ground and from the air. There are about 100 firefighters on the ground. A mobile home had to be evacuated. Dry and windy conditions helped spread the fire. Now, the wind died down but authorities are worried it'll pick up again and change direction, making the fire's path unpredictable.

The 76ers already have the #1 pick in the NBA draft tonight, but would like to move up at least one of their other first round picks. They have three first-round picks - Nos. 1, 24, and 26. The Sixers are expected to take Ben Simmons, a point forward out of Louisiana State, with the first pick. As of Wednesday evening, they were also looking to move up in the draft, preferably into the top eight. The team was widely known to be shopping players, primarily centers Jahlil Okafor and Nerlens Noel, to teams around the league. They were also dangling their two late first-round picks to move up.

The mother of the young girl allegedly gifted to 51 year old Lee Kaplan has hired an attorney who says "Anybody can be arrested - but it doesn't mean you're guilty." Savilla Stoltzfus is the jailed mother of a teenage woman found living in a Bucks County home with a man accused of raping and fathering children with her. No lawyers yet for her husband or Kaplan in this case.
