Philadelphia Police have one man in custody in connection with a road rage shooting on I-95 earlier this week. State police picked up 33-year-old Anthony Thomas Gilbert of Upper Chichester around noon Thursday in South Philadelphia. The incident happened around 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday in the northbound lanes of I-95 just before the Girard Point Bridge. The victim, a 38-year-old man, says that the suspect was tailgating him aggressively. The man then pulled aside him and brandished a weapon. A few moments later there was a gunshot which caused the victim's rear tire to blow out. He was able to safely pull over and give police a description of the man. Last month there was another road rage shooting on the Blue Route in West Conshohocken. State police were able to track down and arrest that suspect as well.

A Philadelphia woman from the city's Frankford section has been arrested and charged with the murder of her two young children while visiting Florida. 40-year-old Sophie Hines was at a cousin's house in suburban Fort Lauderdale when she apparently suffocated her 7-month-old son and 3-year-old daughter with a bed sheet. The children were unresponsive when officers and medics arrived and were pronounced dead at the scene. Hines admitted to killing them but did not offer a reason. Her husband and father of the young boy could not believe the news. The father of the girl is out of the country.

A teenager who shot and killed an Overbook man out walking his dog has been sentenced to 25 to 80 years in state prison. Tyfine Hamilton, now 17, plead last week to third-degree murder, robbery, and related offenses in the death of 51-year-old James Stuhlman. Hamilton and two others had just finished playing basketball around 8:30 p.m. on March 12, 2015 when they decided to rob someone. Stuhlman was walking his dog on the 6400 block of Woodcrest Avenue when he was approached by the teens. He plead for his life but was still shot once in the chest. They boys did not take anything. Then 15-year-old Brandon Smith is charged as an adult and will face trial next March. A 14-year-old is also charged as a juvenile.

Tonight,
Clear skies, winds dying down, temperatures in the lower 70s/upper 60s this evening in Center City.
