According to a recent report from Wallethub, Philadelphia is among the worst places to start a career, coming in 142 out of 150 U-S cities. The study looked at 17 variables including employment opportunities, unemployment, and cost of living. You might not want to end your career in Philadelphia either. Another Wallethub study finds that the city is among the worst to retire. The research found the best city to start out is Salt Lake City, Utah.

Berlin Borough Police have announced the arrests of two individuals in connection to a burglary that occurred on May 20. The incident took place around 1:40 p.m. as officers responded to a home after receiving a call of a burglary in progress. Authorities say that a 15-year-old teenager called from the basement of the house , while hiding, after the sound of glass breaking came from upstairs. That sound was accompanied by footsteps. Alexis Diamond of Blackwood, NJ and James Clerkin Jr. of Chesilhurst, NJ were both charged with burglary, conspiracy, obstruction and criminal mischief.

Pennsylvania’s former secretary of environmental protection unleashed an obscene e-mail rant several weeks before he stepped down last week. In an email that surfaced publicly Monday dated April 13th, former Department of Environmental Protection Secretary John Quigley uses obscenities as he questions the commitment of environmental advocates in the fight for approval of new rules, including new drilling regulations in Pennsylvania. Governor Wolf announced Quigley’s resignation on Friday, appointing Patrick McDonnell, most recently director of policy for the DEP, as acting secretary of the agency.
