New Jersey police have captured 38-year-old escaped inmate Arthur Buckel. He was taken into custody around 11:30 a.m. Monday near mile marker 76.5 of the Garden State Parkway near Double Trouble State Park in Ocean County. He was spotted on Sunday night at the the Forked River rest stop on the Garden State Parkway where he planned to turn himself in, but left before police arrived. He was spotted at a CVS in Barnegat Township last week. Buckel escaped from the Ancora unit of Bayside State Prison in Winslow Township, Camden County, last Tuesday. He was a just few weeks from becoming eligible for parole on an aggravated assault charge. He had previously served an extended time in prison for the aggravated murder of a 10-month-old baby. Buckel faces 3-5 years additional time now for the escape. Watch the video of his capture:

Presumptive Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump has tapped New Jersey Governor and former GOP candidate Chris Christie to lead his White House transition team. Of course, that presumes Trump wins the general election in November. Christie decided to endorse Trump back in February after he suspended his own presidential campaign and has shown support for Trump on the campaign trail since. Christie will chair an "extensive team of professional" in preparation to take over the White House. Trump praised Christie as an "extremely knowledgeable and loyal person with the tools and resources to put together an unparalleled transition team."

The Delaware Department of Justice has issued warrants for three girls in connection with the beating death of a 16-year-old high school student last month. Amy Joyner-Francis was assaulted in a bathroom before classes at Howard High School of Technology in Wilmington on April 21st. Wilmington police turned over the evidence following their investigation last Thursday. One teen has been charged with Criminally Negligent Homicide. The two other teens have been charged with Criminal Conspiracy. Joyner-Francis did not die as a direct result of any blunt force injuries, but suffered a cardiac incident as the result of a pre-existing heart condition. Investigators concluded she would not have had that incident if she wasn't assaulted. The three girls all planned the attack, but only one actually hit her. Prosecutors will seek to try that one, 16-year-old Trinity Carr, as an adult.

New Castle County Vo-Tech School District Superintendent Vicki Gehrt released the following statement:

"Now that the police investigation is complete and criminal charges associated with the death of the Howard High School of Technology student on April 21 have been announced by the Delaware Department of Justice, the school district will follow through with necessary actions for the students involved in the incident based on the school district’s Code of Conduct. Our responsibility is to follow school board policy and procedures for all students involved."

Sports
Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford joined the team in South Philly at the NovaCare complex on Monday morning. He had been holding out and demanding a trade after the Eagles traded up and drafted QB Carson Wentz #2 overall in the NFL Draft last month. The team signed Bradford to a 2-year, $35 million deal this offseason and has said that Bradford is still the starting quarterback. Bradford released this statement: "I'm excited to be back on the field today with my teammates and coaches. The business-side of football is sometimes a necessary consideration. My attention and efforts are focused on the participation in and preparation for a championship season. I am committed to my teammates and the Eagles organization for nothing less."

Tonight
Cloudy, chance of a shower, temperatures in the mid 60's this evening in Center City
