2 Caught, 1 Sought Northeast High Assault; Man Shot Outside Camden Viewing; Maryland Suspect Caught

Philadelphia Police have arrested two people and are searching for a third in connection to a violent assault on school police officers at Northeast High School on Monday. The attack happened around 3:30 p.m. on May 2nd on the corner of Cottman and Castor Avenues. The two officers were escorting a group of students to a SEPTA bus when they saw the suspects assaulting a student. They tried to intervene and stop the fight and that's when the suspects turned on the officers. One suffered a broken jaw while the other sustained bruises. 19-year-old Roger Millington turned himself in on Wednesday. A juvenile was taken into custody on Thursday. Both are charged with aggravated assault and other offenses. Authorities are still looking for 23-year-old Edwin Burgos of West Huntingdon Street (pictured below on the left). A New Jersey man was shot to death on Thursday night while standing outside his grandmother's viewing in Camden. It happened around 7 p.m. in front of the May Funeral Home located at 4th and Chestnut Streets. The family was holding a viewing for 70-year-old Rosa Serrano while 22-year-old Jonathan Vazquez was outside getting ready to go inside. That's when Vazquez was shot 8-10 times in his head and torso. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The circumstances surrounding the shooting are unclear.

Police in Maryland have taken a suspect into custody in connection with 3 deadly shootings over the past two days. 62-year-old Eulalio Tordil was arrested Friday afternoon in Aspen Hill, Montgomery County, Maryland. This morning, three people were shot at the Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda. One person died, one is in critical condition, and another has non-life-threatening injuries. Also this morning, a woman was shot and killed at a Giant grocery store a few miles from the mall. Authorities believe that these incidents are connected to a fatal shooting yesterday outside High Point High School in Prince George County. Tordil's estranged wife was shot and killed in the school parking lot. Tordil worked for the Federal Protective Service. He was placed on administrative leave in March after his wife put a protective order on him. His gun, badge, and credentials were taken.
