The Bald Eagle, along with other native birds of prey, will be celebrated and seen Saturday at the 16th annual Cumberland County Winter Eagle Festival. The Winter Eagle Festival is held in and around Mauricetown, New Jersey, a historic village surrounded by the kind of habitat eagles and other raptors love. The day starts with a sunrise walk and ends with an owl watch. There'll be presentations throughout the day at the Mauricetown Firehall, where you can also get fried oyster sandwiches and crabcakes. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for kids 12 and under. To find out more, visit the Cumberland County Winter Eagle Festival's Facebook page.

Swing with us at the Martini Lounge Radio Dance at Harrah’s Casino, Chester. Saturday March 5th. Live orchestra, huge dance floor, dinner, drinks and more. Limited tickets are on sale now. Visit MartiniLoungeDance.com

Hate speech targeted at Muslims has been on the rise in recent months fueled in part by terrorism and in part by presidential politics. That trend has prompted officials in Camden County to take measures aimed at turning the trend around. County freeholders passed a resolution condemning hate speech in general and expressing solidarity with the Muslim community. That move was led by Freeholder Jeffrey Nash.

As part of an ongoing effort to increase government accessibility, Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney will expand the “Ask Kenney” Twitter chats across several different media. The #AskKenney Twitter chats began when he was running for mayor. The #AskKenney Twitter chat will take place Friday between 3 and 4 pm. Mayor Kenney will also be answering Philadelphians’ questions on the city public access TV channel 64, WURD-AM Radio and in various neighborhood newspapers every month.
