Cosby Free On Bail, Mummers Fancy Brigades, Chip Kelly Statement

Comedian Bill Cosby has been charged with Aggravated Indecent Criminal Assault in Montgomery County for an alleged sexual assault at his Cheltenham mansion in 2004. Cosby was arraigned on a sex assault charge and will remain free on $1 million bail pending trial. Cosby had no comment on his way in and out of court as he was arraigned on a charge of aggravated indecent assault, punishable by five to 10 years behind bars and a $25,000 fine. He did not have to enter a plea and was allowed to remain free on $1 million bail for another hearing Jan. 14.

This final day before New Yearâ€™s is full of crammed practices at the Pennsylvania Convention Center as the Mummers Fancy Brigades prepare the performances they been waiting all year to showcase. Bill Burke Jr., Vice President of the Philadelphia Mummers Brigade Association says the Fancy Brigades have been getting ready for New Yearâ€™s Day at the Pennsylvania Convention Center since last weekend. On New Yearâ€™s Day, thereâ€™s a noon show, then they go out on the street, then they go back and do a 5:00 show. Tickets are still available for the early New Yearâ€™s Day Mummers show at the Convention Center.

Following his dismissal on Tuesday, Chip Kelly has become the latest NFL coach looking for a job. Kelly reportedly plans to work toward getting another head coaching job in the league, but before the search begins, Kelly took the time to release a statement regarding his time in Philadelphia. Chip Kelly thanked Jeffrey Lurie for the opportunity and wished the best for his former coaching staff and players. Kelly summed up his statement by saying â€œlife is all about responding to challenges and seizing opportunities.â€
