Two people are now in custody for the beating death of a woman inside her home in Fishtown. Police went to check on 64-year-old Kathy Wilson on the 1300 block of Earl Street Monday morning after a woman walked in the 26th District and told police she may be dead. Officers entered through the second floor bedroom. They found all the gas burners on. Wilson was on the first floor couch, brutally beaten, with her hair torn out. Police believe that robbery was the motive. The suspects are Wilson's former housekeeper, 47-year-old Jane Johnson and 50-year-old James Cheever, a handyman. Johnson is the same woman who tipped off police. They stole more than $20k Wilson had stored in her home from an inheritance. Wilson was known as being active and outgoing in the community, serving as block captain and working the polls during elections. The couple is charged with murder, robbery and related offenses.

Radnor High School was put on lockdown on Monday morning after a student found a bullet on the floor in a hallway. The female student discovered the 9mm round in a lower level passageway around 10 a.m. She immediately gave it to a teacher and school officials contacted police. The school was placed on lockdown as K9 units swept the building. Nothing else was found in the school and officials say there were no threats to the school. Authorities are still determining the origin of the ammunition. The school was the site of several outside activities over the weekend including SAT testing and a basketball tournament.

Temple Football Head Coach Matt Rhule is staying in North Philly for some time to come. The school and coach reworked his contract keeping him in cherry and white through 2021 with a big pay raise and a commitment to facilities from Temple. Rhule has taken the team from 2-10 in his first year to 10-3 this year with Temple's first Top-25 ranking since 1979 and a bowl bid to the Boca Raton Bowl. He seems committed to continuing the success of this year and building the program. "While this has been such a special season, there is still so much more that Temple football can accomplish," Rhule said in a statement released by the school. "I am proud to coach such incredible student-athletes and I am honored to continue to be a part of the Temple community."
