Pennsylvania State Police say that the search for a missing college student from Montgomery County is now over. The body of 19-year-old Jacob Marberger, a Cheltenham native and Washington College student, was found Saturday in the picnic area of the Hawk Mountain Sanctuary in Albany Township, Berks County. He died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. His green land Rover was parked nearby. He was discovered by sanctuary officials. He disappeared last Monday after driving back to his parent's home from campus in Chestertown, MD in the early morning. Washington College canceled classes indefinitely and Cheltenham High School went on 'lockout' status. Last month, after students played a prank on Marberger he was seen brandishing an unloaded, antique rifle in front of a group of students. He was facing disciplinary action and resigned his student government position before leaving school.

Thousands laced it up for the 22nd Annual Philadelphia Marathon on Sunday morning. Some 25,000 racers from 53 countries and all 50 states took part in the 26.2 mile (or 13.1 mile half marathon) raced through-out the city. 36-year-old Teklu Deneke of Ethiopia won the race in 2 hours 17 minutes. 31-year-old Gisela Oladle Granados from Mexico was the women's winner in a time of 2 hours 40 minutes. Security was a big concern and Philadelphia Police had a big presence along the course and both runners and spectators had to wait through checkpoints before the major event. This year some 60,000 spectators came out to root on the runners.

Rivka Hyland, a Philadelphia native, is a senior Islamic studies major at Harvard University. She is proficient in eight modern and classical languages and is the captain of her intramural rowing team. Hyland plans to pursue a master's degree in scholastic theology. Jennifer Hebert of Pittsburgh is a psychology major at University of Pennsylvania senior. She is a varsity oarswoman and a member of the U.S. National Rowing Team which competed at the U23 World Rowing Championships in Austria. She plans to pursue a Master of Science degree in psychiatry.
