A Philadelphia nun and Catholic school teacher was placed on administrative leave by the archdiocese today after images surfaced of her failing a roadside sobriety test. Sister Kimberly Miller, IHM, is a faculty member at Little Flower High School for Girls in Philadelphia. Last week Miller was allegedly driving a Ford F150 pickup truck around 3 a.m. when the truck backed into a Meineke Auto Shop in Turnersville, New Jersey, smashing the shop's front door. Police stopped the pickup down the road and another motorist captured video as an officer led the nun through a field sobriety test. Sister Kimberly was charged with driving under the influence.

Chaka "Chip" Fattah Jr., convicted on federal bank and tax-fraud charges, wants an investigation into how potential prosecutor misconduct may have tainted his case. Fattah has sent a letter to the U.S. Attorney General saying his constitutional rights were violated when the lead investigator in the case tipped off an Inquirer reporter about FBI raids at Fattah's Ritz-Carlton condo and offices at Logan Square. At trial an FBI Agent testified that he had told a reporter about the raid in advance. Fattah likely faces a minimum of just over four years in prison.

An Upper Darby councilwoman has announced that she will run for a seat in the Pennsylvania House. Sekela Coles, a Democrat from the Seventh District, will seek the 164th District seat held since 2011 by Margo Davidson. Coles said her priorities would be education, women's rights, economic growth, and jobs. Coles became the first African American to hold the Upper Darby post when she took office in 2013. She served on Gov. Wolf's transition committee, working on drug and alcohol programs. She has a Ph.D. from Walden University, a M.B.A. from Pennsylvania State University, and a bachelor's degree in finance and banking from Lincoln University.
